Near to Bukhara, in 12 km, is located Bahauddin Naqshbandi memorial complex. Earlier there was the Kasri Arifon settlement which is known for its pagan customs and holidays.

Bahauddin Naqshbandi was a founder of an order which was named in his honor. His philosophy became close for many figures of the East. His doctrine is still remains demanded.

Bahauddin died in 1389, and many years later in 1544 Abd al-Aziz Khan - erected a crypt surrounded with various constructions over his grave. Up to now remained a small minaret, an ascetic dome of the mausoleum, dim and ordinary-looking constructions.

This place isn't popular among tourists. It involves more pilgrims who pray there and make the ceremonies. However everyone who was there tells about tranquillity of this place.

It is told that three pilgrimages to the sheikh Bahauddin Naqshbandi necropolis are equated to pilgrimage to Mecca, and the hajj will be made.

Bakhauddin Nakshbandi memorial was many times transformed and completed. All emirs of Bukhara wanted to erect near a holy site something their own. Once attempt was undertaken to shroud domes the burial place, however all structures collapsed, as if the sheikh didn't wish, that he and the sky were divided by a ceiling.
